Amy Brown is a native to Gwinnett County where she served her first 10 years teaching 2nd and 3rd grade. This is her 20th year teaching. In 2015, Mrs. Brown moved to the Houston County District and married her husband, Dustin. They just welcomed their baby girl, Brinlee in September of 2023!

She also holds gifted and science endorsements. Mrs. Brown received the honor of NES Teacher of the Year 2022-2023!

Mrs. Brown's approach to teaching is hands-on, collaborative, and active. She believes that learning should be engaging and fun! Her students are challenged daily to think critically and take ownership of their learning. The biggest lesson she wants her students to learn is how to solve every day problems. She believes that if you know how to solve simple problems, it will help a student manage the big problems they may encounter later in life.

Mrs. Brown believes that failure and tenacity are critical parts of learning. Her favorite quote is from the book, "Rosie Revere, Engineer". It states, "The only true failure can come if you quit."
