Marla M. Ceniza has served as the music specialist at Northside Elementary School for the past 14 years.  Mrs. Ceniza graduated from Hawkinsville High School and earned her Music Education degree from Valdosta State University.  Mrs. Ceniza's teaching experience began in Pulaski County where she held the postition of Director of Bands at Hawkinsville High School.  She has also been employed by the Heart of Ga RESA and is currently serving as the pianist/interm Minister of Music at First Baptist Church in Hawkinsville.  Mrs. Ceniza completed her science endorsement while Northside Elementary School was seeking STEM Certification. Mrs. Ceniza has had the privilege of serving at the pianist for the Houston County Honor's Chorus, Teacher of the Year (2013), Ga Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year (2016), National Ag in the Classroom Teacher of the Year (2017), and Ga STEM Team of the Year (2018) .  Mrs. Ceniza is married to Don Ceniza of Hawkinsville and they share 5 children; Taylor (29), Kate (25), Sophie (23),  Baylee (21) and Mari (21).
